H. Dan Adams Council At Large
Back To Basics
Four years ago, I promised you, the people of Evansville, that I would serve you with Leadership, Vision, and Accountability. Over that time, if you have closely followed the Evansville City Council's proceedings, you would have seen that I have delivered on my promises. For example, last year when many were willing to allow two fire stations to be closed without supporting data, I fought hard to prevent that misguided decision! Times change... and we are confronted with a new situation.

Now is the time to get back to basics
We have invested a huge amount of money in the Downtown. It is now time for us to stop spending money on big glitzy projects and make sure the Downtown investment gives us a superb return for all of Evansville.
We need to allow:
- Full benefit of the newly annexed property taxes to kick in
- Creation of new jobs
- Robert's Stadium to be reinvented
- Effect of caps on property taxes to be seen
- Economy to recover
- Rebound of sales tax to flow
- ...Let's just pause to catch our financial breath
NOW we need to concentrate on:
- Supporting police
- Aiding fire fighters
- Cashing-in on trash collection
- Reviving our barely surviving parks
- ...Just the basics!
And above all, we need a marked improvement in transparency of government in everything we do. Click here to learn more >> I need your support and vote for me to continue the fight. Together, we can make a better Evansville!
